Georgia State Employees’ Pension and Savings Plan (GSEPS) is a combination Defined Benefit/ Defined Contribution plan with the following components:

  • Defined Benefit Plan (pension) - Multiple pension plans are available based on the type of entity you are employed by and your length/years of service.
  • Defined Contribution Plan (401(k)) - New employees are automatically enrolled at a 5% contribution rate, allowing for the maximum employer match to be contributed to the employee’s account.
 
 

The State of Georgia’s paid time off program aims to maximize productivity inside and outside of the workplace by providing serval leave programs including holiday, annual, sick, and administrative leave.

  • Employees receive 12 paid holidays a year, as declared by the Governor.
  • Annual and Sick Leave
  • Annual and Sick Leave accrual begins the first day of employment.
