Job Summary:

The Adjunct Faculty (HRLY) is responsible for developing curriculum and presenting instruction in computer applications.  Examples: MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point

 

Essential Functions:

·         Provides professional instruction based on approved course syllabus.  Ensures that desired course outcomes meet the stated objectives

·         Prepares curriculum and syllabus to coursework taught

·         Evaluates students’ progress at attaining goals and objectives

·         Ensures safety and security requirements are met in training areas

·         Meets with students, staff members, supervisors as needed

Competencies:

·         Skill in developing lesson outlines and materials

·         Knowledge of vocational area of assignment

·         Skill in presenting subject matter

·         Skill in use of computers and job-related software programs

·         Skill in interpersonal relations and dealing with adult learners

·         Oral and written communication

 

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment and technologies.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear.  The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a part-time instructional position. 

Travel:

Travel to other campuses is a possibility for training

 

Required Education and Experience:

·          Minimum qualifications for this position are extensive knowledge and experience in the subject matter.

·         Can provide and use workplace scenarios to enhance participants learning.

·          Experience in actual day-to-day duties and can use examples to boost productivity of participants.

·         Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.

 

Preferred Education and Experience:

·         Bachelor’s degree;

·         Minimum three (3) years’ experience in post‐secondary education, faculty recruiting, or

related field;

·         Teaching Experience on the post‐Secondary Level;

·         Strong computer, communication, and interpersonal skills;
