Employment Terms: This job is a part-time, non-benefited, FLSA Exempt/Professional position in the Computer Science Division that reports to the Program Director – Web Design

Salary – Targeted salary is paid in a lump sum bases on contact hours taught.

Minimum Requirements (Job Code 10317):  Bachelors degree in field and 18 graduate hours in field; OR Masters degree in field.  Must have a minimum of two years of relevant work experience.  Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the courses assigned

 

 Preferred Qualifications - External

Masters degree in IT/Computer Science related field.  Working knowledge of Web Design and Development, PHP, Ruby, Python, Advanced JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS, LAMP Stack, Photoshop, Flash, InDesign, Illustrator, Canvas, Java, and .NET. Teaching or Industry experience with Web development is ideal.

Job Description: Prepares and delivers lecture and/or lab course material in one or more of the following courses: Web Design and Development, Advanced Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, & InDesign), Mobile Development, Advanced Scripting (JavaScript, JQuery, PHP, Ruby, Perl, LAMP, etc.), MySQL, .NET/C#/ ASP/Node.js, Hosting Websites, HTML5, CSS, PHP I & II, Ruby on Rails, Java Program Design and Development/Systems Analysis and design

 

Duties/Responsibilities

1.  Prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for specified courses.

·   Organize and conduct classes using a variety of learning experiences and activities.

·   Demonstrate a positive attitude toward students.

·   Demonstrate current and comprehensive knowledge of the subject areas to be taught.

·   Accurately and timely submit required reports

2.  Evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives.

·   Communicates students’ progress to student and appropriate personnel and according to established guidelines.

·   Accurately records pertinent information in students’ records as required.

3.  Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports.

·   Complies and submits reports in a timely manner.

4.  Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior.

·   Works within the system in a resourceful manner to accomplish reasonable work goals; shows flexibility in response to process change and adapts to and accommodates new methods and procedures.

5.  Accepts direction and feedback from supervisor and follows through appropriately.
