Responsibilities:

  • Assist Time & Leave Administrator in creating, updating, troubleshooting issues, and applying  adjustments as needed to all DCS employee’s timesheets.
  • Daily contact with internal and external staff/customers.
  • Adjust timesheets to reflect appropriate changes to an employee’s FLSA status due to promotions, demotions,  or job transfers.
  • Responsible for creating, and maintaining all new hire timesheets in Time Reporter Data in HCM PeopleSoft/Work Schedules/Comp Plan Enrollment.  Also, following up with leave balance accuracy.
  • Update timesheets as needed to reflect work schedule changes.
  • Make necessary adjustments to timesheets after overtime payments have been made to officers working Regular Earnings-Deployment hours.
  • Assist Time & Leave Administrator in conducting leave audits to provide necessary calculations on employees on extended leave of absence, resigning, terminating, retiring, and transferring to other state agencies.  These leave audits are also processed for EDP timesheets on an as needed basis.
  • Process leave verifications on employees who are terminating employment, either by resignation, termination, retirement, transferring to another state agency, or as needed.  Also, following up with decreasing out leave balances appropriately.
  • Process verification of employment requests in regards to requests for salary information.
  • Monitor, trouble-shoot, and resolve Time and Leave MOJO Help Desk tickets submitted by DCS staff.
  • Submit, monitor, and assist in the resolution of trouble tickets to the State Accounting Office referencing Time and Leave.
  • Process Time and Leave queries from HCM PeopleSoft and distribute as needed.
  • Assist in retrieving data to provide for other HR staff in areas of EDP, Short/Long Term Disability Claims, FMLA, and Workers Compensation claims.
  • Schedule Google Meets with staff and offices to train and discuss Time and Leave processes and issues, as requested and as needed.
  • Attend semi-monthly Microsoft Teams meetings with the State Accounting Office for statewide Time and Leave Administrators.
  • Assist HR staff with various requests for data retrieval, reports, and HR inquiries outside of Time & Leave, when requested and as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Two years of Human Resources, or Human Resources related experience.  Excellent Customer Service Skills. Knowledge of HCM Peoplesoft. Time and Leave experience. Absence Management Experience. Knowledge of Compensatory Time, FMLA, Modified Duty, and ADA criteria. Knowledge of Leave Audits, Leave Verifications, and Employment Verification experience. Experience in the EDP, Short/Long Term Disability Claims, and Workers Compensation. Training Experience.

Associate's degree from an accredited college or university OR Two years of human resource experience.
