Atlanta Technical College is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Adjunct Accounting Instructor. This position includes a focus on personal finance, providing students with essential financial literacy skills to navigate their personal and professional lives successfully.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develops course syllabus for each course assigned based on ATC criteria. The syllabus will include learning objectives expressed in behavioral terms
• Distribute syllabus to campus administration and enrolled online students
• Instructs the depth and scope of class materials as outlined in the syllabus and catalog, relates instruction to careers and employee satisfaction and standards
• Prepare and grade exams based on course objectives and published scheduled exams, and returns all assignments/graded work in a timely manner
• Implements evaluation for outcomes assessments, and achieves established results while maintaining college standards and student satisfaction
• Work creatively in all assigned courses to keep students engaged online which will increase student retention
• Provide tutorial assistance and academic advising for all students when needed
• Submit midterm and final grades at the appropriate time of the quarter
• Perform additional job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Master's degree or higher in accounting or a related field. Demonstrated Experience in teaching accounting, personal finance, or related subjects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment. Knowledge of current accounting principles, practices, and software.
• Ability to engage and motivate students in the learning process.
