Assistant Registrar
Job Duties:
Under the supervision of the Registrar, the Assistant Registrar is responsible for: assisting the Registrar in the day-to-day operations of the unit (IE - resolving student concerns, graduation audits, "diplomas on demand," transcript request, etc.); identifying training needs and ensuring that necessary job-related instructions are provided to staff; to facilitate unit productivity; interpreting and utilizing federal, state and local policies and procedures; maintaining accurate files/records; participating in the planning, coordination, development and implementation of long-range goals and objectives for unit; attending seminars, conferences, job related training, and/or other staff development training programs; serving as the key, front-line reader for the registrar's office in a comprehensive One-stop Shop; reading work-related information and materials; serving as the lead transfer credit evaluator and as the lead HOPE audit administrator; serves on college committees as assigned; creating and maintaining a high performance environment characterized by positive leadership and a strong team orientation; dedicated toward providing outstanding customer service on a daily basis ; displaying a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operating effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrating trustworthiness and responsible behavior; Assisting with the design and execution of special events, projects and activities as requested; operating effectively within the organizational structure of a comprehensive One-stop Shop; performing other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate Degree and one-year work related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
· The ability to provide staff training in Banner. Experience working in a fast paced, high volume One-stop Shop environment at a two-year community or technical college
· Experience with academic advising.
· Familiarity with the curriculum, advisement and program planning.
Physical Demands
The employee occasionally lifts or moves objects of a light to medium weight. Work is typically performed in an office environment with intermittent sitting, standing, or walking in various settings. The employee must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Full range of hand and finger motion may be utilized for data entry purposes.

Salary is commensurate with education and work experience. Benefits include paid state holidays, annual and sick leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits package.
