Federal Programs & School Effectiveness Coordinator
Job Summary
The Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE)- Georgia School for the Deaf is recruiting for an experienced Federal Programs & School Effectiveness Coordinator. Under limited supervision, this position will supervise, guide and/or instruct the work assignments of subordinate staff, plans, coordinates and oversee requested improvement team activities in education program entities. The job responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Description of Duties
- Perform needs assessment, curriculum audits, effectiveness studies, facilitation of educational planning, resource networking, and awareness sessions with entity personnel.
- Advise participants or applicants on eligibility standards
- Advise teaching and administrative staff in curriculum development, use of materials and equipment, and implementation of state and federal programs and procedures
- Assist system personnel with the analysis of needs and directions for improvement based upon improvement team reports
- Coordinate and direct the activities of education program improvement teams
- Design, develop, conduct, and evaluates staff development training
- Design and implement program evaluation procedures and evaluate staff training
- Design and provide program support activities as a result of test development and administration
- Develop classroom-based and/or distance learning training courses, using needs assessments and skill level analysis
- Develop tests, questionnaires, and procedures that measure the effectiveness of curricula and determine the effectiveness of the program objectives
- Manage the work of task forces appointed to continue the development of statewide program model
- Prepare or approve manuals, guidelines, and reports on state educational policies and practices for distribution
- Provide consultation regarding program expansion or improvement
- Facilitate strategic improvement planning
- Research, evaluate and prepare recommendations on curricula, instructional methods, and materials
- Supervise and plan work of assigned staff
- Update the content of educational programs to ensure that training equipment and processes are technologically current
- Hybrid work schedule
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess one or more of the following:
- Experience with School Improvement Plans
- Experience with Federal Programs
- Experience managing Federal Program budget
- Experience in Assessment & Data management
- Teacher Support Specialist Certification
