Savannah Technical College serves Coastal Georgia with quality, market-driven technical education with campus locations in Chatham, Effingham and Liberty Counties. Serving more than 10,000 credit and non-credit students annually, Savannah Tech offers nearly 150 different instructional programs in addition to Adult Education classes, industry-specific training and continuing education. Part-Time Clerical Services Worker (Business and Professional Services Division)

Savannah Technical College is seeking a part-time Clerical Services Worker for the Business and Professional Services Division. This position will work as-needed, up to a maximum of nineteen (19) hours per week. Under close supervision of the Dean of Business & Professional Services, this individual performs a variety of clerical duties in support of the division. Job duties may include, but are not limited to the following: 

  •  Shredding documents
  •  Organizing storage areas
  •  Maintain Office files
  •  Assisting with Document Production
  •  Assisting with recruiting activities and events
  •  Assisting with maintaining inventory
  •  Assisting with student outreach for advisement and registration
  •  Scheduling and organizing office meetings
  •  Assist Full-time Administrative Assistant
  •  Performing other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • A cheerful demeanor and willingness to work as part of a team
  • Hard-working and dependable
  • Ability to learn new tasks and follow instructions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to type min. 50wpm

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills

Physical Demands

Work is typically performed in an office environment with intermittent sitting, standing, or walking in various settings. The employee must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Full range of hand and finger motion may be utilized for data entry purposes.

 

Salary/ Benefits

Salary is commensurate with education and work experience.
