Electrical Systems Technology Adjunct Instructor - Pool

Nature of Duties:

 

Under general supervision, prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for credited technical/occupational courses; prepares standardized course syllabi using a provided template; assesses students’ satisfactory progress based on established course grading requirements. May be required to attend professional development training as required for specific classroom or online course delivery.  Teaches Automotive Technology courses in a classroom/lab/field environment that closely simulates the industry environment while maintaining knowledge of current trends and developments in the field.  Provides instruction in the theory and practical applications of Automotive Technology. Measures program or departmental student learning outcomes for continuous student improvement and success.  Requires strong computer skills, communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with a diverse student population.

Selected candidates must be able to work morning or evening hours, Monday thru Thursday.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

·         Diploma in Industrial Electrical Technology, Electrical Systems Technology or a related field from an accredited institution

·         Three (3) years out of the past seven (7) years of experience in-field

·         Valid Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Associate’s degree in industrial electrical technology, Electrical Systems Technology or a related field from an accredited institution.

·         Directly related teaching experience at the postsecondary level

·         Industry Certification in-field

·         Online Teaching Experience

 

Special Instructions to Applicants:

To be considered for the Adjunct Pool, applicants must upload transcripts, resumes, and certifications with their application. Adjunct Pool applications are for the 2024 – 2025 academic year. A new application is required each academic year. Adjuncts are paid on a per-contact-hour basis. All courses are face-to-face unless otherwise indicated. Courses are offered Monday through Thursday during both morning and evening hours. Campus location for this pool is for the Carroll Campus.

Official transcripts and prior employment verification are required within 30 days of hire for continuous employment.
