The Recruitment Specialist works collaboratively with internal and external Atlanta Technical College (ATC) stakeholders to assist with the coordination, management, and monitoring of strategies designed to attract, engage, recruit, and support students through the enrollment processes at ATC. Develops and implements special initiatives and activities to increase seamless pipeline into the College through industry and community partner engagement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develops, recommends, and implements student recruitment strategies that ensure a seamless enrollment pipeline for potential ATC students.

• Plans and maintains annual outreach & recruitment schedule for representing the College at a variety of community events (e.g., high schools, churches, civic and social groups, military, correctional facilities, job fairs, etc.)

• Responds to requests, schedules, and provides on-site ATC campus tours.

• Coordinates with internal teams to produce an array of recruitment tools and resources inclusive of all segments of the community.

• Drafts and delivers oral presentations to small and large audiences

• Serves and contributes to internal committees to design and successfully execute special recruitment and enrollment events, projects, and activities (e.g., ATC Open House and Registration events, etc.)

• Implements communications campaigns for continuous engagement of potential students.

• Tracks student engagement from recruitment events toward enrollment data; utilizes data to establish recruitment targets, monitor effectiveness of outreach efforts, and identify best practices

Supervisory Responsibilities

Could provide oversight for work-student and part-time personnel.

Qualifications

Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check. Proven record of experience, high achievement, and success in the fields of student recruitment or admissions. Must possess an understanding of and sensitivity to the multicultural differences/needs of potential college students throughout the community. Must have experience providing academic coaching or advising to diverse populations (i.e., traditional, nontraditional, veterans, incumbent workers, etc.) Strong organizational and time management skills, with focus on the ability to handle multiple projects needs simultaneously. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, a willingness to work with others, 2 and the ability to perform other duties as assigned are essential. High attention to detail and accuracy. Must demonstrate enthusiasm for the mission of Atlanta Technical College.

 Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field. Two (2) years of full-time professional level experience providing admissions counseling and/or recruitment services in a post-secondary education environment. Years of experience may be substituted with completion of a Masters degree in Higher Education Administration, College Student Affairs Administration, etc. 

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field required. Three years full-time professional level experience providing admissions counseling and/or recruitment services in a post-secondary education environment; Specific understanding of and sensitivity to multicultural differences/needs. Ability to motivate college age and adult students. Advanced computer skills and experience with CRM (Salesforce), educational technologies, learning software, and online assessment tools such as BANNER or other student database systems. Excellent active listening, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Strong planning, people-reading, and decision-making skills, and ability to stay organized. Integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed with demonstrated passion for ATC's mission and commitment to working collaboratively. Ability to use independent judgement and decision making. Data-driven approach in presenting/influencing and informing decisions. A positive, solutions-oriented attitude, drive for excellence, and ability to be a team player. A strong sense of ownership (takes personal responsibility for meeting objectives) and timelines. Preferred: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field required. Five years full-time professional level experience providing admissions counseling and/or recruitment services in a post-secondary education environment.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. The employee is occasionally required to travel to meetings and recruitment events, other ATC campus locations, stand, walk, and sit.

Work Environment

The work environment is within a college where the employee will interact with colleagues, students, faculty, administrators, and other community stakeholders. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
