Savannah Technical College is seeking a part-time Clerical Services Worker/FWS Program Assistant - Financial Aid Services Office. Typical schedule is as-needed, up to a maximum of nineteen (19) hours per week. This position is grant funded. Under the supervision of the Director/Assistant Director for Financial Aid Services, this individual performs a variety of duties, which may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Completing administrative tasks and special projects as requested.
- Assists in the preparation of reports.
- May monitor and maintain office equipment and supplies.
- Maintains filing and record-keeping systems.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in performing general office work to include telephone usage, filing, typing, handling, customer questions and complaints, data entry, computer usage and/or bookkeeping/accounting.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience/knowledge of the Federal Work-study program.
Preferred Qualifications (in addition to minimum)
- Previous work experience in an educational setting.
- Excellent skill in verbal and written communications.
Physical Demands
Work is typically performed in a classroom or office environment with intermittent sitting or walking in various settings. Must frequently lift and carry lightweight objects. Full range of hand and finger motion is required for data entry purposes.
Salary/Benefits
Salary is commensurate with education and work experience.
