Job Description:

POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

POSITION:  Technician/Cashier (Paulding Campus)

POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for performing cashiering and customer service duties.

MAJOR DUTIES:

FUNCTIONAL/PROCESSING

  • Process payments, enters data, and balances on student Banner accounts accurately.
  • Prepare bank deposits and processes remote deposits.
  • Access ECSI to assist students with 1098T access.
  • Access BankMobile to assist students with refund information.
  • Access Nelnet to assist students with payment plan information.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • Open/close the office as posted.
  • Greet and/or answer phone calls from students, guests, general public, and co-workers.
  • Create student or vendor Banner accounts.

INTERFACE ROLE

  • Processes vendor, facility rental, and third-party payments.
  • Changes Admission Application term for students who apply for future term to present term.
  • Removal of holds from student accounts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and six (6) months of work-related experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to be bonded.

SALARY/BENEFITS: $39,110.21 annually. Benefits include paid holidays, annual leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program. Please be aware that Chattahoochee Tech employees will be paid by direct deposit, unless exempted by the State Accounting Office based on “hardship” evidence provided by the employee.
