MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree and two years of work related experience coaching experience at the high school level
or above OR three years’ experience as a varsity or professional player or coach.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible for the organization, development, and leadership of intercollegiate and collegiate club soccer programs in support of the mission and core values of the College, GCAA, and the NJCAA. The Head Soccer Coach is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the men's/women's soccer program, including recruitment, training, mentoring, and development of student-athletes, as well as promoting academic success and compliance with college policies and athletic regulations. The coach will foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and a commitment to excellence both on and off the field.
DUTIES (include but are not limited to):
Project Management
- Develop and implement effective training sessions, practice plans, and game strategies.
- Monitor and manage team budget, equipment, and scheduling of games, practices, and travel.
- Ensure compliance with college, conference, and NJCAA/NAIA/NCAA rules and regulations.
- Promote student-athlete academic success, providing academic oversight and support.
- Coordinate team participation in community service projects.
Recruitment
- Identify, evaluate, and recruit potential student-athletes who meet academic and athletic standards.
- Build relationships with high school and club coaches to identify recruitment pipelines.
- Lead efforts to retain student-athletes by fostering a supportive and engaging environment.
Player Development
- Instruct and develop players' technical skills, game knowledge, and physical conditioning.
- Cultivate leadership and sportsmanship in student-athletes.
- Promote personal development, health, and wellness for student-athletes.
- Follow rules and regulations as described by the TCSG Policy Manual and other policies and procedures established by the institution, GCAA, and NJCAA
- Adhere to all Association, Conference, and College rules
- Other duties as assigned
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with the Athletic Coordinator and other departments such as Academic Advising, Financial Aid, and Student Affairs.
- Collaborate with assistant coaches, trainers, and other staff to ensure cohesive team management.
- Serve as a liaison between the soccer program and college administration.
Administration
- Maintain accurate records of team and player statistics, including training logs and academic performance.
- Submit timely reports on team activities, compliance, and performance.
- Ensure timely communication with student-athletes, parents, and college officials.

SALARY:
This is a part-time position without insurance benefits; work hours will not exceed 29 per week. Hourly
rate is commensurate with education and work experience.
SPECIAL NOTES:
It shall be a condition of employment to submit to a background investigation. Offers of employment shall
