Dual Achievement Program- Adjunct Instructor
Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its Adjunct Instructor – Dual Achievement Program (Part-Time) position in the Academic and Student Affairs division. This position is located at Atlanta Techs South campus just south of Downtown Atlanta, in Forest Park, Ga.
Under general supervision of the Director of the Dual Achievement Program, the Adjunct Instructor – Dual Achievement Program (Part-Time) position requires passion, demonstrated by experience, for effective teaching, learning and advisement of diverse student population. Adjunct instructors are needed in the discipline of high school Math, Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, Health and Physical Education. The instructor will teach classes at the general education level. This is a part-time position, up to twenty-nine (29) hours per week.
Duties and responsibilities include, but may not limited to, the following:
- Manage face-to-face, online and or hybrid classes.
- Evaluate student progress and performance in attaining goals and objectives.
- Plan, organize and participate in staff development, trainings, and conferences.
- Be team oriented, goal oriented and vision focus.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, remain professional at all times, and deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Must have excellent computer skills, knowledge of online instructional delivery and learning platforms used in secondary and post-secondary education.
- Must strive to contribute to the overall success of Atlanta Technical College Preparatory Academy Dual Achievement Program, Students and the college as a whole; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess and demonstrate an Associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university, mastery with 9-12 grade subject areas and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Preference may be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum requirements, possess and demonstrate the following:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Education or related field, specializing in high school Math, Science, Social Studies or Language Arts.
- At least two (2) or more years of teaching experience at the 9-12th grade level.
