The Georgia Department of Labor is currently seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented candidate to fill the Administrative Hearing Officer 1 position in the UI Appeals Department.
The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work from a preferred work location.

The Administrative Hearing Officer conducts administrative hearings in which there is generally conflicting evidence to determine eligibility of claimants for unemployment, develops a hearing record and renders a written decision to all parties based on the evidence presented in the hearing.
Essential Function and Responsibilities:
- Conducts administrative hearings in which there is generally conflicting evidence to determine eligibility of claimants for unemployment insurance benefits.
- Ensures all hearings are conducted fairly while safeguarding the legal rights of all parties.
- Develops a hearing record and renders a written decision to all parties based on the competent evidence presented in the hearing.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
- Completion of a law degree from an accredited college or university
- Five years of experience rendering unemployment insurance claims determination, and interpreting and applying laws regarding program eligibility
- Other relevant experience may be substituted on a year for year basis

Minimum Qualifications:
