POSITION: Administrative Assistant for Advanced Technology & Engineering Division and Applied Technology & Transportation Divisions
REPORTS TO: Dean of Applied Technology and Advanced Technology Divisions
SALARY RANGE: Mid $40’s annually, depending on education, qualifications & experience
EFFECTIVE: This position is available now
Under general supervision, performs and completes tasks and assignments associated with personnel support functions for the Advanced Technology & Engineering division and the Applied Technology & Transportation division. This includes the following activities:
- Prepare teaching letters of agreement and payroll.
- Assist with recruiting and on-boarding of new employees
- Submit purchase orders, travel arrangements, expense statements, etc. as requested
- Maintain documentation for compliance and accreditation (i.e. faculty credentials, teaching assignments, course schedules, etc.)
- Assist the dean with budget planning, development, and expense tracking
- Enter course scheduling data in the Banner system
- Provide general customer service support to faculty and students
- Maintain supplies, prepares and submits supply orders
- Assist the dean with standard communications, meeting planning, office processes
- Generate reports from LTC’s Intranet, the Banner system, or TCSG’s curriculum management system (KMS)
- Provide general coverage for the reception area.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate’s degree in a business- related discipline or a closely related field *and* one (1) year of work-related experience; OR a High school diploma or equivalent *and* three (3) years related work experience.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- Skill in the use of computers and job-related software programs such as the Microsoft suite
- Skill in the use of video conferencing tools such as Web Ex, MS TEAMS, etc.
- Skill in the use of Outlook for email, meeting planning and calendar functions
- Knowledge of standard and professional office practices and procedures
- Demonstrated proficiency and accuracy in data entry using the Banner registration software system
- Demonstrated attention to details and accuracy
- Ability to operate different office equipment, such as telephone, fax machines, copiers, scanners, shredders, etc.
- Effective skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and organization skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior work experience in a postsecondary educational environment
- More than three (3) years of related work experience
- Strong working knowledge of Banner

This position is available for 1 day of telework after 6 months of employment.
