Start your career in public service. The DHS’ Division of Family & Children Services (DFCS), Child Welfare, is seeking candidates for the position of Administrative Support 3 in the Revenue Maximization Specialist (Rev Max) unit. This Position is located in Gwinnett County, Georgia.

Job Description: Under broad supervision, performs a variety of general secretarial, clerical, and administrative support functions/processes or a few specialized or essential clerical functions in support of a unit or office and related personnel. May enter data and/or process documents and records. The work includes operating standard office equipment.
A Rev Max Program Assistant engages in various clerical duties associated with an efficient agency office and Rev Max unit. Program Assistants request, collect and track required documentation from various internal and external sources as required to make Title IV-E funding determinations by Rev Max Specialists; performs data entry in both the SHINES and Gateway systems; maintains unit master logs of foster care and adoption assistance cases; advises county Child Welfare staff of upcoming case and child renewals and validation and documentation required; screen and verify demographic information, income and resources; engages in other specialized activities related to Title IV-E programmatic determinations. Performs other professional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or Rev Max Director.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Registers and assigns Medicaid and Title IV-E applications in SHINES and Gateway systems.
- Performs work according to Rev Max Protocols, policies and best practices, Title IV-E federal regulations and laws.
- Maintains accurate master logs for all foster care and adoption assistance children.
- Prepares regular reports, maintains records of assigned cases; contacts county staff for missing information to process applications.
- Uses Microsoft Office Suite and/or standard software applications to perform daily assignments.
- Performs other professional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or Rev Max Director.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, demonstrate some or all the following skills/experience:
- A degree from an accredited college or university or administrative certification
