Job Description:

Job Summary:

Under limited supervision, completes the assessment and classification process for committed and Superior Court sentenced youth by performing a variety of functions to include completion of broad and comprehensive interviews, assessment tools, facilitating multidisciplinary meetings, documentation, consultation, training and administrative duties

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Special projects, pilot testing when requested
  • Collaborates and presides over multidisciplinary team meetings to determine
  • recommendations for youth in care and custody of DJJ
  • Conducts case file and court documentation reviews for screening preparation
  • Serves as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas
  • Collects and analyzes data related to performance indicators and resources
  • Develops and delivers formal and informal training
  • Develop policies and procedures in accordance with laws and regulations related to
  • primary programs
  • Identifies, plans, and may assist with the implementation and utilization of local resources
  • May serve as mentor to new supervisors and staff
  • Monitors compliance, evaluates effectiveness, and recommends/implements
  • improvements to existing policies
  • Provides technical assistance/training to internal and external service providers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of professional job related experience which includes one (1) year in a lead worker, team leader, or supervisory role.
  • Or two (2) years of experience at the lower level Social Svcs Prgm Consultant 2 (SSP041) or position equivalent.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Two years of related experience, One of which as a supervisor or lead worker
  • OR bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Four years of related experience
  • OR Two years at the lower level (SSP041) or position equivalent.
  • Two years’ experience working for DJJ as JPPS-II-
  • OR Two years’ experience working for DFCS as case manager OR Two years’ experience working in a related youth services delivery field
