Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its ATL Community Media Engagement Specialist / Driver (Part-Time) position in the Communications, Marketing, & Public Relations division. This position is located at Atlanta Tech's Main campus just south of Downtown Atlanta.
Under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Communications, Marketing, & Public Relations, the ATL Community Media Engagement Specialist / Driver (Part-Time) position is responsible for increasing public awareness of ATL Community Media, promoting station services and programs, building relationships with community stakeholders, and expanding community participation in media, education, and storytelling initiatives. This position will operate the station's promotional minibus and represent ATL Community Media at community events, festivals, conferences, neighborhood meetings, schools, and public gatherings. This is a part-time position, up to twenty-nine (29) hours per week.
Duties and responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, the following:
- Serve as a public ambassador for ATL Community Media throughout Atlanta and surrounding communities.
- Drive and operate the station's promotional mini-bus for outreach activities, community events and public appearances.
- Represent ATL Community Media at festivals, community meetings, conferences, workshops, neighborhood events, school programs and public gatherings.
- Promote station programming, training opportunities, workshops, volunteer programs, and community access services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, neighborhood associations, nonprofits, educational institutions, business and government agencies.
- Identify opportunities to expand community participation and awareness of ATL Community Media's services and programs.
- Gather community feedback and share insights that support programming and outreach initiatives.
- Coordinate outreach activities and community engagement events.
- Set up, operate and break down outreach displays, information booths, promotional materials and event activations.
- Recruit community members interested in volunteering, training, content creation and community media opportunities.
- Maintain outreach schedules, event calendars and community engagement records.
- Track event attendance, outreach activities, community contacts and participation metrics.
- Maintain inventory of outreach supplies, promotional materials and event equipment.
- Assist with the development and implementation of outreach strategies and engagement; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Skill in public speaking, presentations, and communicating with diverse audiences
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective community and professional relationships
- Ability to safely operate and transport the station's promotional vehicle and outreach equipment.
- Strong organizational, time management, scheduling, and event coordination skills.
- Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and priorities
- Skill in using Microsoft Office, social media, and digital communication tools
- Oral and written communication skills
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess and demonstrate a High School Diploma or equivalent AND a valid Georgia Commercial Driver's License (CDL) in good standing.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Preference may be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess and demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated experience engaging with diverse communities and building positive relationships
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and occasional holidays based on event schedules.
