POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
POSITION: Aviation Maintenance (A&P) Instructor

QUICK LOOK:
Under supervision of the Aviation Program Director, this position is responsible for all aspects of instruction in the Aviation Maintenance programs, including Airframe, Powerplant and General Aviation.
- Complies with FAA regulation in all aspects of Aviation programs and continuance activities.
- Teaches all courses in the Aviation Maintenance curriculum.
- Oversees safety compliance including safe lab and hangar practices per EPA regulations and OSHA standards.
- Develops and implements instructional delivery that meets FAA requirements and is stimulating, thought provoking and engaging to students in face-to-face, online and lab settings.
- This position is a Full-time, 12-month faculty position located on our Aviation Academy Campus in Paulding County.
- The position schedule varies by semester.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working as an aviation maintenance technician
- Associate Degree or higher in Aviation Maintenance or related field
- Working knowledge and experience with teaching in Aviation Maintenance
- Working knowledge and proven experience in program assessments
- FAA Inspection Authorization
SALARY/BENEFITS: $68,276.00 annually. Benefits include paid holidays, annual leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program, which includes health benefits and retirement plans. Please be aware that Chattahoochee Tech employees will be paid by direct deposit, unless exempted by the State Accounting Office based on “hardship” evidence provided by the employee.
