Job Description:

Title: Aviation Maintenance Instructor

Position: The Technical Instructor is responsible for performing all aspects of instruction for aviation maintenance programs.

Minimum Qualifications: AS/AAS in Aviation Maintenance Technology and Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant rating or 5 years' work experience in Aviation Maintenance field and Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant rating or 5 years teaching Part 147 curriculum and FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant rating.

Physical Demands: Teaching responsibilities are typically performed in a classroom/lab environment with the employee intermittently sitting, standing, walking, bending, pushing, and puling for three (3) – four (4) continuous hours at a time. The employee frequently lifts lightweight objects up to 50LBS. The work is performed in campus buildings and outdoors where the employee is occasionally exposed to cold or inclement weather. The exposure to dirt, dust, grease, machinery with moving parts, chemicals, and fumes is possible in the laboratory environment. The ability to distinguish colors is required for purposes of electrical wiring. Full range of hand and finger motion may be utilized for data entry purposes.

Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and work experience. Benefits include paid state holidays, annual and sick leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits package. Positions are contingent upon funding.
