Start your career in public service. The Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS), Division of Family & Children Services (DFCS) is seeking applicants for the position of Billings Specialist 1. This position is located in Brunswick, Glynn County, Georgia.

Job Description: Under supervision, plans, organizes and manages the operation of the billing functions such as preparation and distribution of invoices, third party payers, preparing claims and posting cash receipts. Analyzes complex billing data and prepares reports for revenue and expenses and other statistical data.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Enter invoices daily.
- Enter receipts.
- Balance reports/monthly closing reports.
- Restricted funds.
- General Journal Entries/ReRates.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED AND one (1) year of job related experience in accounting, billing, or budget services.
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimumqualifications, demonstrate some or all of the following skills/experience:
- Customer service experience.
- Accounting/office experience.
- Adhere to strict deadlines.
- Microsoft office suite/Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Must be able to multi task and work well with a team.
