We are seeking a Board Certified Psychiatrist who is passionate about clinical excellence, leadership, and expanding access to behavioral healthcare within our Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) model.
Position Overview
This physician will provide direct psychiatric care at both our Newnan, Georgia and Carrollton, Georgia outpatient clinics.
The position offers an excellent balance of patient care and physician leadership, including serving as the clinical supervisor and delegating physician for Advanced Practice Providers.
Practice Location
Primary office: Newnan, Georgia
Clinical services provided at:
Schedule
Standard clinic hours, 8am-5pm, M-F
Shared services between the Newnan and Carrollton outpatient clinics
Collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
Leadership Responsibilities
In addition to providing outstanding psychiatric care, this physician will:
Serve as the Clinical Supervisor and Delegating Physician for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
Mentor and support advanced practice providers
Participate in clinical consultation and case review
Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer and interdisciplinary treatment teams
Help maintain high-quality, evidence-based behavioral healthcare services across multiple outpatient locations
Clinical Responsibilities
The physician will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and treatment for adults experiencing mental illness and substance use disorders, including:
Comprehensive psychiatric evaluations
Diagnostic assessments
Medication management
Treatment planning
Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for Opioid Use Disorder and other substance use disorders
Crisis evaluations
Consultation with primary care providers and community partners
Participation in multidisciplinary treatment teams
Documentation within the electronic health record
Consultation with nursing, counseling, case management, and other behavioral health professionals
These responsibilities align with the organization's outpatient treatment model and physician role.
Qualifications
Required
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
Board Certified Psychiatrist
Unrestricted Georgia medical license (or ability to obtain)
DEA registration
Ability to supervise Advanced Practice Providers under Georgia law
Preferred
Experience treating serious mental illness
Experience with Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)
Experience working within community behavioral health
Experience supervising Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
The underlying position description also identifies graduation from an accredited medical school recognized by the Georgia Composite Medical Board and licensure to practice medicine in Georgia, with MAT experience preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:
Medical degree recognized by the Georgia Composite Medical Board (GCMB) AND licensure or license-eligible to practice medicine at a state institution or in the state of Georgia as provided by state law AND Two years of experience at the lower level Physician 2 (HCP161) or position equivalent.
