Under general supervision, the Building Inspector (Manufactured Housing) is responsible for inspecting manufactured homes retailers for compliance with policy, procedures, state and federal regulations and standards to ensure safety and compliance.
Conduct field inspections of manufactured housing units for compliance with federal standards, state/local codes, and installation guidelines.
Inspect foundations, anchoring systems, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems of manufactured homes.
Evaluate compliance of dealer lots, installation crews, and manufacturers with licensing and regulatory requirements.
Investigate complaints related to defective installations, unpermitted setups, or unsafe living conditions.
Issue inspection reports, violations, or correction notices as required.
Provide technical guidance and interpretation of codes to homeowners, dealers, contractors, and government officials.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, findings, permits, and corrective actions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
