Role and Responsibilities:
Responsible for completing high-level state accounting and budgetary reports, DFCS Level Reports, as well as other ad hoc reports.
Responsible for establishing training with EXCEL and assist Region Accounting staff as needed with spreadsheet-related questions.
Assist with accounting related work that could include assisting with bank reconciliations; payroll, travel, and leave-related assistance
Serve as the lead for organizing, collecting and reporting of all FEMA/GEMA payments

Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, demonstrate some or all of the following skills/experience:
Strong background in EXCEL, WORD and POWERPOINT
Basic understanding of the DFCS payroll, travel and leave processes in order to assist Region Accounting as well as provide assistance to DFCS staff
Operational knowledge of SHINES, SMILE systems, GA@WORKS, MICROSOFT OFFICE systems
Basic understanding in how to complete bank reconciliations and be able to analyze and identify outstanding bank items.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree in business or related field from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of experience related to area of assignment; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower level Busi Support Analyst 1 (GSP130).--Note: An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted year-over-year.Equal Employment Opportunity Employer
