The Campus Operations Coordinator serves as the primary operational liaison for the assigned campus, providing leadership and coordination to ensure efficient daily operations and a positive experience for students, employees, and visitors. This position collaborates with academic and administrative departments to support campus operations, employee engagement, student success, facilities management, safety, and community partnerships.
The Campus Operations Coordinator promotes effective communication across the College, identifies and resolves operational concerns, and ensures the assigned campus maintains a safe, welcoming, and productive learning environment while supporting the mission and strategic goals of Savannah Technical College.
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE
Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations of the assigned campus to ensure efficient and effective campus services.
Serve as the primary point of contact for campus operational issues and coordinate solutions with appropriate College departments.
Collaborate with Facilities to ensure buildings, classrooms, restrooms, grounds, and common areas are clean, safe, and well maintained.
Coordinate facility rentals and ensure spaces are prepared and available for internal and external events.
Work with Administrative Services to oversee campus fleet vehicle availability, maintenance coordination, and vehicle checkout procedures.
Partner with Campus Police to support campus security, emergency preparedness, and daily building security procedures.
Assist Campus Police in responding to campus emergencies and implementing College policies and procedures.
Collaborate with Academic Affairs to support instructional operations, classroom readiness, and academic program needs.
Identify campus operational needs and communicate recommendations for improvements to College leadership.
Coordinate campus employee engagement activities and serve on the Campus Engagement Committee to plan employee and campus events.
Promote communication and collaboration among campus departments to foster a positive workplace culture.
Work with Human Resources and campus supervisors to support positive employee relations and address workplace concerns.
Monitor campus supply inventories and coordinate the ordering of operational supplies.
Maintain and monitor the campus calendar to minimize scheduling conflicts and improve campus coordination.
Coordinate campus participation in College and community events while representing Savannah Technical College in the surrounding community.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with local school systems, community organizations, business partners, and other external stakeholders.
Collaborate with Enrollment Management to support recruitment initiatives and provide operational assistance during peak enrollment periods.
Partner with Student Life to coordinate student engagement activities and encourage student participation on campus.
Prepare reports and communicate operational updates to College leadership as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university *and* Two (2) years of work experience related to the duties and responsibilities of this position to include management, supervision, campus administration, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in higher education, technical colleges, or community colleges.
Experience coordinating campus or facility operations across multiple departments.
Experience supervising employees or leading cross-functional teams.
Experience planning campus events, employee engagement activities, or community outreach initiatives.
Experience working with facilities management, safety, emergency preparedness, or campus security.
Experience collaborating with enrollment management, student affairs, or academic affairs.
Experience developing relationships with community organizations, business partners, or local school systems.
Experience managing operational budgets, inventories, or purchasing processes.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and enterprise software systems such as Banner or Workday.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift/move objects weighing 25lbs or more; ability to work in various environmental conditions; ability to drive a forklift; ability to operate a hand truck; ability to operate a golf cart. This position will work both in the field and in an office environment.
