This position is responsible for managing and processing day-to-day operational functions under the Student Affairs, College Services initiative. In collaboration with the technical colleges, this position will be responsible for one or more services including withdrawals, HOPE scholarship evaluations, CHECS/TCHECS error management, along with providing support in veteran affairs, financial aid, admissions, risk reviews and other future college services initiatives.
Responsibilities
Review degree students for HOPE scholarship eligibility in accordance with each institutions policy.
Manage withdrawal process in banner, which includes validating and accurately entering all student withdrawal information, including unofficial withdrawal information sent from academics.
Review and resolve all errors in the CHECS system on behalf of the college.
Provide exemplary customer service through electronic correspondence and other methods of communication.
Works collaboratively with the colleges to develop new and/or alter existing forms.
Assist technical colleges with development and implementation of data standards, compliance, and policies & procedures related to Student Affairs.
Assist with the potential expansion of the college services registrar functions
Other student affairs related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree *and* Two (2) years related work experience -Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
5 years of experience using BANNER student module for registrar functions.
3 years of experience performing HOPE Scholarship Evaluations
3 years of experience managing the CHECS and TCHECS system
3 years of experience processing withdrawals in banner
Technical Competencies
Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess complex processes, solve problems and multi-task in conjunction with various departments
Exceptional critical thinking skills demonstrated by the ability to analyze information, evaluate results, and facilitate resolution for compliance
Ability to work as part of a statewide higher education community recognizing diverse needs of individual colleges
Ability to establish and maintain professional and productive working relationships with staff at all levels at the college and the system office
Ability to read and interpret complex regulatory documents and assist in evaluating their impact on policy and procedures
The ability to travel through the state of Georgia will be required. Flexible work schedule (remote/on-site) with limited travel to colleges and conferences.
