Job Description:

 

DUTIES Under general supervision, the Custodian will be responsible for housekeeping duties on the Oconee Fall Line Technical College Dublin Campus. Performs a variety of routine duties such as cleaning floors, windows, fixtures, stairs, restrooms and doors. Custodian must know the regulations on safety measures. Able to recognize cleaning agent/materials. Operate floor machines (buffers, carpet extractors, vacuum cleaners, etc.) Maintain orderly appearance in all storage areas. Responsible for appearance/cleanliness of specified areasMust be able to lift, push, or pull 25-50 lbs. Flexibility in work schedule and may be required to work evening and weekend hours.   

  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  High School Diploma or equivalency Valid driver's license PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Three years of custodial experience. 

  

COMPETENCIES: Knowledge and skills in the use of custodial tools and methods.  Knowledge of safety guidelines. Knowledge of college policies and procedures. Good written and verbal communication skills. The ability to read and comprehend is very important because all cleaning chemicals give warnings plus what to do in case of an emergency. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Minimum Qualifications:

No experience is required.
