The Georgia Technology Authority (GTA) currently manages the delivery of IT infrastructure services to 89 Executive Branch agencies and managed network services to more than 1,200 state and local government entities. IT infrastructure services encompass mainframes, servers, service desk, end user computing, disaster recovery and security. Managed network services include the state’s wide and local area networks, voice, cable and wiring, and conferencing services.

JOB SUMMARY:
Cybersecurity Analyst 1 is established to participate in information security related projects and ensuring people, processes, and technology aligns with the desired security posture of the organization. The Cybersecurity Analyst 1 is trained and experienced in meeting security needs of the agency and its employees in multiple locations.
This position reports directly to the Section Director of Incident Response & Cyber Intelligence.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answers Requests for Information (RFIs) and provides expertise to course of action development.
- Develops effective and actionable operational strategies for State leadership and executive decision makers by performing vulnerability cyber threat analysis from information and intelligence derived from various sources to include Federal and State agencies, law enforcement, fusion centers and open-source intelligence.
- Leads the coordination, validation, and management of all-source intelligence collection requirements, plans, and/or activities
- Identifies and communicates intelligence collection shortfalls
- Conducts in-depth research and analysis on current threats and network vulnerabilities
- Evaluates threat decision-making processes and identifies tactics and methodologies
- Monitor, report, and respond on validated threat activities

Office Location: 47 Trinity Ave, Atlanta GA (Fulton County/Downtown Atlanta)
Worker Type: Monday – Friday (in-office) 8 AM – 5 PM
Target Hiring Salary Range: *$61,500 – $83,500
*Current Georgia state government employees will be subject to SPB rule provisions.
