Job Summary
The Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) Office of Assessment and Accountability is recruiting for an Accountability Specialist. Under limited supervision, this position applies professional expertise to produce and support Georgia’s accountability systems, including the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI).
Job Responsibilities
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Ensure the accuracy of data calculations for CCRPI report
· Support schools, LEAs, and other stakeholders in understanding and interpreting CCRPI reports, data, and calculations
· Develop and maintain accountability documentation (such as business requirements, user guides, and calculation guides)
· Collaborate with IT developers to ensure that reporting requirements and business rules are accurately implemented
· Interpret data and communication results
· Validate data for accuracy and completeness using systematic processes
· Analyze small and large data sets using applications such as SQL and Excel
· Conduct presentations and workshops for various audiences
· Collaborate with multiple stakeholders and divisions within and outside of the Georgia Department of Education.

Preferred Qualifications
· Understanding of state accountability initiatives
· Knowledge of state and federal accountability laws and guidance, including the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)
· Experience with district or state-level accountability, test administration, evaluation, or data analysis
· K-12 educational experience at the district or state level
· Proficiency in SQL, and/or other statistical software
· Excellent communication skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Minimum Qualifications
· Master’s degree in education, policy, psychology, research/measurement, statistics, or a related field and at least
· Three years of professional experience in K-12 education or a related field
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong computer and coding skills (proficiency in SPSS, SQL, and /or other statistical software)
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
· Understanding of state assessment and accountability initiatives, including the CCRPI and state report card
· Knowledge of state and federal accountability laws, regulations, and guidance including the ESSA
· Experience with district or state-level accountability, test administration, evaluation, or research and data analysis
· K-12 educational experience at the district or state level
