Educational Aide - Writing Tutor
Employment Terms: This job is a temporary, non-benefited, FLSA non-exempt position in the Academic Affairs Division that reports to the Coordinator of the Academic Support Lab. This position will work at the Alpharetta location of Gwinnett Technical College.
Schedule: May work up to 19 hours a week depending on business needs.
Minimum Qualifications (Job Code H1001)
Successful completion of 6 or more credit hours of courses in English, humanities, or social sciences with a "B" or higher. Ability to explain English and Writing concepts. Excellent oral communication skills. Ability to form good working relationships with peers and students. Ability to work with diverse student backgrounds. Ability to coach study skills and behavior toward successful course completion.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in English and previous college-level tutoring experience.
