POSITION: Electronics Technology Instructor, Full-Time
CAMPUS: Vidalia
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Southeastern Technical College has a full-time 12-month Electronics Technology faculty position that will be located on the Vidalia campus. The Electronics Technology Instructor is responsible for delivering organized, current, and effective instruction that enables students to achieve program competencies as outlined in the curriculum.
Responsibilities include planning and implementing instructional activities; selecting appropriate materials and teaching methods; and evaluating student progress toward the successful completion of learning objectives. Instruction is guided by TCSG program standards and curriculum requirements to support the development of essential technical and occupational skills.
The instructor is expected to maintain a positive and professional learning environment, model appropriate workplace behaviors, and promote student success through effective classroom engagement. Additional responsibilities include participating in student recruitment and retention efforts and serving as the lead instructor for the Electronics Technology program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in electronics, electrical engineering, or related field with 18 hours of related graduate course hours.
- Minimum of 3 years verifiable in-field work experience and/or related teaching experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (Educational/Occupational Experience):
Prior teaching experience, preferably in a postsecondary or technical education setting
SALARY/BENEFITS:
Salary is to be commensurate with education and work experience. Benefits include paid state holidays, annual leave and sick leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits package.
