Start your career in public service. DFCS/Office of Family Independence (OFI) is seeking candidates for the position of Eligibility Specialist Supervisor. This position reports to an Eligibility Services Administrator (OFI Administrator). This position reports to an Economic Support Consultant Supervisor (OFI Administrator) for Henry County, McDonough, GA.
Provide direct supervision and plans work of a team/unit of Eligibility Specialist determining eligibility of program as result of interviews and documentation for benefits and agency resources. Assists in the development of uniform policy interpretations, securing services and timely benefits, and evaluating quality. Maintains a system of management to monitor quality, quantity, and timeliness of benefits.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provides direct supervision and support to the assigned team of Eligibility Specialists.
- Analyzes and assesses the effectiveness of services provided to customers in addition to assigned programmatic responsibilities to ensure the identified outcome measures are achieved.
- Ensures agency compliance with policies, appropriate documentation, and reporting requirements.
- Develops and encourages a cooperative team-oriented environment within units(s) and with other agencies and providers.
- Assess assigned staff performance and provide ongoing development and training.
- Interviews, hires, directs, trains. and evaluates employees job performance; recommends employee disciplinary and discharge actions as appropriate.
- Leads and administers a comprehensive system of customer support and public assistance.
- Performs other professional responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED AND (1) one year of related experience which involved customer contact/interaction.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, demonstrate some or all the following skills/experience:
- Two (2) years of experience as an Eligibility Specialist 2 and/ or 3 with GA DFCS.
- Trained AND worked in two (2) OR three (3) OFI programs.
- Must be Gateway Eligibility System trained.

Minimum Qualifications:
