Job Description:

Job Summary 
Assist the Program Director and/or lead instructor in instructing, supervising, and evaluating students in classroom/lab settings, as assigned. Complete annual training as assigned. Courses will be a combination of face-to-face, online, or hybrid as necessary. Evaluates students' progress in attaining goals and objectives. Requests and maintains supplies and equipment. Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports. Meets with students, staff members, and other educators to discuss students' instructional programs and other issues.

 Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the lab area
•    Ensures students are instructed in and follow all safety rules for operating equipment and using tools. 
•    Ensures classrooms and work areas are properly cleaned and maintained at all times. 
•    Ensures work-related projects are successfully completed and meet industrial standards. 
Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior.

Supports Program Chair/Program Director/Division Deans/Associate Deans 

•    Requests and maintains supplies and equipment.
•    Works collaboratively with faculty within discipline to establish, measure, and evaluate program or departmental student learning outcomes for continuous student improvement and success and submits to appropriate program director.
•    Maintains an organized and proper supply of classroom instructional materials. 
•    Promptly notifies supervisor of defective equipment and need for supplies. 
Other Duties as Assigned

Work Environment 
This job operates in a professional environment.  This role routinely uses laboratory equipment and specimens, standard office equipment, and technologies related to the instructional environment. 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 
This is a seasonal position and will be used as-needed.  Workload is Monday-Friday day/evening hours.  

Travel 
Travel to other campuses is a possibility for assignments, meetings, training, and professional development.  
Required Education and Experience 
•    National Registry Advanced Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic license for 2 or more continuous years
•    Valid Driver’s License
•    Knowledge about EMS programs evaluation of student learning and performance
Preferred Education and Experience 
•    Faculty/instructional staff must be effective in teaching and knowledgeable in subject matter as documented by appropriate professional credential(s), education, and experience in the designated content area.
•    Georgia EMS Instructor Advanced or Paramedic license, CPR Certification
•    Teaching experience at the post-secondary level
•    Knowledge of Blackboard LMS or other online LMS
•    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
