Job Title: Federal Work-Study Student – Athletic Department Mascot (ACE)

Job Description:

The South Georgia Technical College Athletic Department is seeking a dependable and enthusiastic Federal Work-Study student to serve as “ACE,” the South Georgia Tech mascot, at home basketball games and other college and community events.

Job Responsibilities:

• Represent South Georgia Technical College as ACE, the college mascot.
• Attend and participate in home basketball games, college events, and community functions as scheduled.
• Engage with students, fans, children, and community members in a positive and professional manner.
• Help promote school spirit and create an engaging atmosphere at SGTC events.
• Properly wear, handle, and care for the mascot costume and related equipment.
• Follow instructions provided by the Athletic Department and assist with other related duties as assigned.

Work Schedule:

Working hours will vary based on scheduled games and events and may include evenings, nights, and weekends. The student may work up to a maximum of 20 hours per week, based on Federal Work-Study eligibility and available funding. Students may not exceed 225 hours per semester.

Hourly Rate: $10.00 per hour

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be eligible for the Federal Work-Study Program.
• Must be currently enrolled at South Georgia Technical College and maintain eligibility for Federal Work-Study employment.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work scheduled games and events.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude and professional behavior when representing the college.
• Must be able to perform the physical activities associated with wearing and performing in a mascot costume.
