The Admissions Counselor/Recruiter coordinates and implements student recruitment/admissions activities for a technical college.
JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision, assists state, secondary and postsecondary instructional leadership in the planning and development of career programs of study including articulation, dual, joint, and Accel enrollment opportunities that leads to either an industry recognized credential, postsecondary certificate of credit, diploma, or associates degree.
MAJOR DUTIES
Coordinates the development and implementation of dual, joint, and Accel enrollment programs as well as articulation at a technical college.
Attends recruiting events to increase awareness about dual enrollment.
Plans orientation for new dual enrollment students and parents.
Provides information to students on program offerings and facilitates the admissions process, including arranging for placement testing, application collection, transfer of transcripts, and financial aid completion.
Serves as primary point of contact for and collaborates with high school administrators, counselors, and staff to promote a seamless guidance system between secondary and post-secondary institutions in a professional manner.
Communicates and educates secondary staff about the dual enrollment and articulation matrixes.
Creates and maintains an up-to-date written process for dual, and joint, enrollment as well as the articulation process.
Secures proper signatures required by the Technical College System of Georgia and the Department of Education (DOE) for dual enrollment programs and articulation agreements in a timely manner.
Plans and implements activities for collegewide recruitment.
Creates and delivers information about dual enrollment and the overall institution to through varying means, including but not limited to in-person, written collateral, electronic, or virtual means.
Coordinates with financial aid staff regarding tuition, fees, and HOPE grants/scholarships.
Works with Student Records Office semesterly to retrieve final grades and transcripts and distributes to appropriate high school counselors.
Facilitates the awarding of individual student articulated credit at the technical college level.
Tracks data for dual and articulated credit enrollees and graduates for completion/graduation from the technical college.
Disseminates information to appropriate stakeholders, state, and local staff.
Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor’s degree from a nationally accredited college or university in a closely related field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a postsecondary or secondary technical educational setting.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university *and* Two (2) years of related work experience; Experience in the use of MicroSoft Office Suite - -Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-to-year basis.Equal Employment Opportunity Employer
