POSITION: DUAL ENROLLMENT ADMISSIONS ASSISTANT
REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS
SALARY RANGE: Upper $30’s to Low $40’s annually, depending on education and qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Dual Enrollment Admissions Assistant is responsible for performing administrative duties for the Dual Enrollment program in the admissions area at Lanier Technical College.
MAJOR DUTIES:
· Provides information via email and phone to prospective and current Dual Enrollment students and their parents regarding program offerings, admissions requirements, registration, events, deadlines, and other enrollment-related matters;
· Communicates regularly with high school counselors and partners regarding the Dual Enrollment program and provides Google Drive materials, email communications, notices, schedules, and other program updates;
· Prepares and distributes reports to appropriate high school partners regarding student status, including accepted and not accepted students, schedules, no-shows, withdrawals, academic standing, transcripts, and grades, as appropriate;
· Processes new Dual Enrollment student applications and enters placement scores, transcripts, and other related student information to prepare files for acceptance when needed
· Enters and reviews funding and lawful presence documentation and checks GAfutures information as required;
· Tracks Selective Service requirements and follows up on needed documentation as appropriate;
· Completes Selection Program checks and sends related email communications to students and high school partners;
· Provides self-pay notices and payment information to students as appropriate;
· Sends regular email communications to students regarding events, deadlines, registration requirements, and other important program information;
· Coordinates textbook distribution and returns, including textbook drop-off and pick-up with students and high school partners;
· Coordinates graduation cords and provides credential information to eligible students and high school partners;
· Assists in the creation and setup of Dual Enrollment Student Orientation;
· Creates and updates Dual Enrollment marketing and outreach materials using Canva;
· Assists Coordinators and Recruitment with high school Dual Enrollment events as appropriate;
· Assists with graduation and registration activities as needed;
· Keeps abreast of Dual Enrollment regulations, policies, and procedures;
· Provides administrative assistance to the Dual Enrollment Coordinators;
· Performs other work-related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent AND one (1) year of work-related experience.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
- Demonstrated skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs;
- Effective skill and ability to perform complex and varied duties in an efficient and confidential manner;
- Skill in managing multiple priorities;
- Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills;
- Skill in working with the public in a customer service environment;
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule that may include some evening and weekend hours on occasion – 40 hours weekly;
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (in addition to minimum qualifications and competencies):
- Associate’s degree in Business Administrative Technology or closely related field from a regionally accredited college or university;
- Previous work experience with a student information system, such as Banner;
- Previous work experience in admissions and/or with Dual Enrollment students;
- Bilingual language skills (English/Spanish)
STATE OF GEORGIA BENEFITS INCLUDE: A choice of retirement plans (Georgia State Employees’ Pension and Savings Plan or Teachers’ Retirement System), health and flexible benefits insurance options, sick leave and annual leave accruals (10 hours each on a monthly basis) and 13 state holidays. This position is also eligible for telework options, one day per workweek, after six (6) months of employment.
