POSITION: PART-TIME EVENING LIBRARY ASSISTANT
REPORTS TO: Director of Library Services
WAGE: $15.00/hour; 16 hours per week when classes are in session.
WORK SCHEDULE: 5pm - 9pm Monday - Thursday
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general supervision, provides circulation services for all library materials at Lanier Technical College. Assists students and faculty with use of the library and accessing electronic media. Assists in document preparation, copying and
filing. Performs administrative/clerical duties and production functions. Assists Supervisor with all duties. Monitors the use of & maintains supplies for library.

MAJOR DUTIES:
Provides a variety of circulation services for all library materials at Lanier Technical College;
Will perform (or assist) a variety of tasks that relate to processing orders for books, journals, audio-visual materials, and other reference materials;
Performs various administrative and clerical duties;
Performs closing responsibilities including but not limited to; ensuring library is empty at closing, gate count is taken, and doors are properly secure;
Assists library patrons in accessing computers and available software applications at Lanier Tech;
Monitors the use of and maintains supplies for library;
Other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. One year of related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Previous library experience.
