Job Description:
The mission of the Department of Law is to serve the citizens of the State of Georgia by providing legal representation of the highest quality to the agencies, officers and employees of state government and by honorably and vigorously carrying out the constitutional and statutory responsibilities of the Attorney General. The position filled through this announcement will serve in the State Licensing Board section of the Regulated Industries and Professions Division.
Job Description
The primary duties of this position are to provide Legal administrative support for the section's attorneys and paralegals. The position manages case files, prepares and mails correspondence, prepares pleadings and documents for filing in various courts, e-files, manages calendaring of court dates and meetings, copies and prints documents, responds to and directs citizen and attorney phone calls, works with the various computer programs used by the section, and performs other administrative functions as assigned. The position also works with the other Division administrative assistant to cover workloads when they are busy or out of the office.
Minimum preferred qualifications:
- One-year legal secretary experience
OR
- Two years’ general secretary experience.
- Strong typing skills.
