Job Description:

The Western Judicial Circuit is seeking a qualified Part-Time Legal Services Worker to support the delivery of indigent defense services in Clarke County, Georgia. The primary responsibility of this position is assisting with the representation of indigent clients in criminal matters before the Superior Court. Candidates must possess the qualifications, knowledge, and skills necessary to effectively perform the duties of the position. Applicants should have experience working in a public defender's office, including reviewing criminal case discovery and using the JCATS case management system. Current members in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia are preferred and are encouraged to apply. A strong commitment to the principles of indigent defense is essential for success in this role.

Description of Duties: The Legal Services Worker will possess strong organizational, communication, and case management skills and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality representation to indigent clients. Assists legal staff in preparing for court proceedings. The successful candidate will be committed to the principles of indigent defense and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced legal environment. Performs other related duties as required.
