Job Description:

Columbus Technical College is seeking an individual to serve as a part-time instructor (adjunct) for the Logistics and Supply Chain Management program.  Under general supervision, this individual will prepare lesson plans for classroom instruction; evaluate students’ progress in attaining goals, objectives, and student learning outcomes.  Further requirements include assisting with recruitment and retention efforts.  This position requires day, night, evening, and on-line instruction.  This position is part-time/exempt.

Please note the following information regarding this position:

  • May be required to teach high school students

  • May require teaching on or off campus throughout our service delivery area (Muscogee County, Stewart County, Quitman County, Chattahoochee County, Harris County, and Talbot County)

  • May require travel

Responsibilities:

  • Delivers effective individualized program and instruction to class members

  • Ensures adherence to technical college and safety requirements in classrooms and labs by following established procedures

  • Selects and obtains appropriate educational materials for courses

  • Ensures consistency in syllabi, lesson plans, test, and other appropriate course work

  • Monitors use of and maintains supplies, equipment and/or facilities for assigned program

  • Assists with recruiting and marketing activities

  • Assists with the design and execution of special events, projects and activities as requested

  • Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Logistics, Business Management, Business Administration or related field

-AND-

  • Two or more years work experience in logistics/supply chain management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Logistics, Business Management, Business Administration or related field

-OR-

  • A Master’s degree with 18 semester hours or 27 quarter hours in Logistics or supply chain management
    ​

  • One or more years of experience instructing in post-secondary education

  • Two or more years work experience in logistics/supply chain management

Salary/Benefits:
Pay rate is commensurate with education and experience, no benefits.

Minimum qualifications for this position will be determined by the teaching discipline and compliance with appropriate accrediting bodies. Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the course assigned.
