Job Description:

Job Summary:

Teaches nursing courses in a clinical/lab environment; maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field. Provides instruction in practical applications of nursing in the clinical setting and skills lab; Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports required for clinical; ensures safety and security requirements are met in the discipline area; meets with students, staff members and other educators to discuss students’ progress. Requires strong computer skills, communication skills, and ability to interact effectively with a diverse student population. Position may require committee and project assignments or other duties as assigned as well as day, evening, and weekend clinicals and activities.
  
Minimum Qualifications:
•    Associate Degree in Registered Nursing from an accredited institution and demonstrated competence/experience in the teaching discipline.
•    Valid Georgia RN license and current BLS (CPR) Certification from the American Heart Association
•    Minimum of 3 years nursing experience in the past 7 years.
Preferred Qualifications: 
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Registered Nursing from an accredited institution.
•    Teaching experience in postsecondary education. 
•    Recent teaching experience.


Salary/Benefits: $32.00 per hour

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications for this position will be determined by the teaching discipline and compliance with appropriate accrediting bodies. Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the course assigned.
