Job Title: Part-time Family Literacy Coordinator
Immediate Supervisor: Dean of Adult Education

Job Description:
Under general supervision, assists the Dean of Adult Education in providing general supervision and direct implementation of the family literacy program.
This is a 10-month, 19-hour per week position at $22/hour. Position renewal will be based on grant availability.
Job Responsibilities and Performance Standards:
Prints and analyzes local and state reports and keeps the Dean of Adult Education (DAE) advised of changes and trends.
Supervises data entry into LACES and ensures quality and timeliness of data.
Serves as member of the core team for family literacy as well as a county committee member of each location that has a family literacy program at Lanier Tech.
Delivers timely communication for family literacy participants, county committees, and the core team.
Arranges preliminary set-up of Parent Time and PACT Time activities for each county in coordination with the county committees.
Provides for a transition of leadership to strong parent leaders to facilitate Parent and PACT Time activities.
Assists DAE in auditing family literacy programs and site locations, through data analysis, site visits, and completion of surveys and evaluations, to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements and ensures that the College meets quarterly and annual objectives.
Assists DAE in offering ongoing support to family literacy stakeholders and participants, including organization of activities, leaders, or speakers during PACT and Parent Time, establishment of performance goals and outcomes, ensuring data is collected and uploaded in a timely manner, and establishing plans for improving performance.
Prepares, distributes, and collects results of surveys and feedback as needed and provides results to county committees, the core team, and DAE.
Collects, checks, and turns in Verification of Eligibility forms requiring federal verification to the Adult Education registration team, and resolves issues as a result of this process for any outside referrals to Adult Education.
Assists in recruiting family literacy participants from within Adult Education as part of the registration process.
Collects all sign-in sheets, goal outcomes, and other documentation as required by TCSG for upload into LACES for the family literacy program.
Assists the DAE in distributing and maintaining MOUs and other documentation for program review.
Provides information for county CLCP boards and the Advisory Committee as needed.
Promotes the adult education program to public and private organizations involved in family literacy throughout the service delivery area.
Accepts direction and feedback and follows through appropriately.
Works when scheduled; begin and ends work as expected; calls in according to policy when arriving late for work or when absent; observes policies on break and lunch periods; uses work time appropriately.
Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree. Must possess excellent human relations skills and have demonstrated collaboration within a group. Must exhibit superb written and verbal communication skills, demonstrate strong supervisory and management skills, be adept in working with databases, and have a high degree of organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in Adult Education with demonstrable experience in GALIS and general record keeping. Bilingual preferred.
