Job Description:
Columbus Technical College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Adjunct Instructor for our Phlebotomy courses. This position involves classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction, as well as curriculum development, student assessment, and program compliance. The ideal candidate will bring strong instructional skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to student success. This position is part-time/exempt.
Please note the following information regarding this position:
May be required to teach high school students
May require teaching on or off campus throughout our service delivery area (Muscogee County, Stewart County, Quitman County, Chattahoochee County, Harris County, and Talbot County)
May require travel
Responsibilities:
Provide classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction to phlebotomy students
Develop lesson plans, course outlines, and instructional materials in accordance with state standards
Assess student progress in achieving course objectives and provide timely feedback
Maintain program certification requirements and all necessary documentation
Ensure safety and security protocols are met in training labs and clinical settings
Participate in faculty meetings, staff development training, workshops, and conferences
Assist with student recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts
Collaborate with colleagues and administration to support academic goals
Respond promptly to administrative requests and adhere to college policies
Engage in professional development and involvement in relevant organizations
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
Current Certification in Phlebotomy (AMT, ASCP, ASPT)
One year of current experience in the field
Salary/Benefits:
Pay rate is commensurate with education and experience, no benefits.
