Practical Nursing Sim/Clinical Lab Adjunct Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY

The Practical Nursing Sim/Clinical Lab Adjunct Coordinator works under the supervision of faculty members and performs routine student clinical visits, along with standardized laboratory work requiring close attention to detailed procedures in the preparation and basic maintenance and operation of laboratory equipment, inventory and requisition of supplies, assisting faculty in supervision of students assigned to laboratories, and other related duties and is employed on an individual academic term basis.

MAJOR DUTIES

  • Performance of hands-on skill related to Practical Nursing.
  • Assisting students in the laboratory.
  • Leading simulation scenarios.
  • Covering clinical rotation assignments.

COMPETENCIES

  • Expertise and professional development necessary to enable the goals/outcomes of the curriculum.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent technology skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

SUPERVISORY AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY

None.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Associate Degree in Nursing. Minimum of three (3) years of practice as a licensed registered nurse within the preceding seven (7) years. Current Georgia nursing license.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Current Georgia and Tennessee nursing license, or be eligible for licensure in Georgia and Tennessee. Recent experience in the clinical setting.
