Under general supervision, designs, codes, tests, modifies and debugs computer software. Analyzes, researches, and troubleshoots software and system problems. Develops documentation of programming and troubleshooting activities to promote organizational knowledge retention. Installs and maintains database information systems. Provides application support to end-users. Responds to end-user help desk requests on an as-needed basis.
Minimum Qualifications: Completion of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent field from a four-year college or university; OR successful completion of two years of post-secondary
technical coursework in information technology; OR two years of full-time (or equivalent part-time) work experience in applications programming (Java, SQL, Javascript, CSS, and HTML).
Preferred Qualifications: Preference may be given to those applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum
training and experience requirements, possess one or more of the following:
- Experience in application systems design using Java, SQL, Javascript, CSS, and HTML.
- Experience with various Java Frameworks and IDEs
- Experience with container-based architecture and deployments
Other Remarks: Selected candidate subject to criminal records background and drug screening clearance.
Work duties primarily performed in person on main GPSTC campus in Forsyth, Georgia. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
