Job Description:

Job Summary 
Duties may include assistance curriculum development; instruction, recruitment, and advisement of students. Evaluation of students in the academic Courses will be a combination of face to face, online or hybrid as necessary. Duties also include participation in department committees and participation in professional enhancement. Evaluates students' progress in attaining goals and objectives. Requests supplies and equipment as needed. Prepares and maintains all required documentation for effective teaching as requested. Meets with students, staff members and other educators to discuss students' instructional programs and other issues. 
Essential Functions

 Instruction 
•    Provides instruction in theory and practical applications of the discipline in accordance with academic state standards. 
•    Instructs courses in a classroom/lab/clinic/field environment that closely simulates the environment of the industry. 
•    Utilizes current technology in the classroom/lab/clinic.
•    Evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives.
•    Grades all coursework in a timely manner.
•    Provides student support and advising.
•    Maintains office hours weekly.
•    Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the discipline area Meets with students, staff members and other educators to discuss students’ instructional programs and other issues. 
•    Maintains program certification/accreditation requirements as appropriate for the teaching discipline. 
•    Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports.
•    Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the discipline.
•    Attends professional development training, workshops, seminars and conferences.
Curriculum/Student Learning Outcomes/Accreditation (when applicable) 
•    Assists Program director with program curriculum, syllabi, goals and objectives.
•    Prepares lesson plans for instruction.
•    Works collaboratively with faculty within discipline to establish, measure and evaluate program or departmental student learning outcomes for continuous student improvement and success and submits to appropriate program chair/director.
•    Assists Program director with data and reports with respect to accrediting bodies if necessary.
•    Attends faculty meetings as scheduled.
•    Completes required bloodborne pathogens, medical emergency, and teaching methodology as requested annually.
Supports Program Chair/Program Director/Division Deans/Associate Deans 

•    Assists with maintaining supplies and equipment.
•    Assists with recruitment, retention and job placement efforts as needed.
•    Serves on department committees and project assignments as necessary.
Other Duties as assigned

•    Knowledge of the mission of postsecondary technical education; 
•    Knowledge of academic course standards; 
•    Knowledge of the college’s academic programs; 
•    Skill to work cooperatively with students, faculty and staff 
•    Skill in the preparation and delivery of classroom/lab/clinic content

•    Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs; 
•    Ability to break larger tasks into manageable smaller tasks;

•    Skill in accurate grade-keeping; 
•    Skills in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public; 
•    Oral and written communication skills. 
 Work Environment 
This job operates in a professional environment.  This role routinely uses laboratory equipment and specimens, standard office equipment, and technologies related to the instructional environment. 
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 
This is an adjunct instructional position.  Work load is Monday-Friday day/evening hours depending on the semester course schedule.  
Travel 
Travel to other campuses is a possibility for teaching assignments, meetings, training, and professional development. 
Required Education and Experience 
•    Bachelors’ Degree Healthcare or Education area, RT(R) (ART) certification (appropriate CT or Mammography credentials if teaching CT or Mammography courses)
•    Faculty/instructional staff must be effective in teaching and knowledgeable in subject matter as documented by appropriate professional credential(s). education, and experience in the designated content area.
•    Knowledge about Radiologic Technology Programs evaluation of student learning and performance

Preferred Education and Experience 

•    Knowledge of Blackboard LMS or other online LMS
•     Masters’ Degree 
•    2 years Higher Education teaching experience
•    Knowledge of Accreditation Process
