Purpose of the Position: Under broad supervision, installs, configures, supports and maintains server infrastructure, desktops and/or mobile devices. Performs necessary maintenance to support hardware and server uptime. Under supervision, manage projects through the full life cycle from project definition through implementation and evaluation. Supervises Helpdesk team to include daily support, troubleshooting complex incidents and ongoing projects, and conducting performance management. This position works to promote and protect the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas Counties.
 
Essential Functions (include but are not limited to):
·         Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision
·         Advises management on the technical feasibility and critical factors in the adaptation of automated systems to the service delivery
·         Analyzes operations to determine business requirements and needs
 
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of experience at the lower level Systems Administrator 2 (ITP041) or position equivalent.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
·         Supervises others in normal helpdesk activities that include support for local area network, wide area network, internet system, computers, desktops and/or mobile devices.
·         Under supervision, manage projects through the full life cycle from project definition through implementation and evaluation.
·         Establish and monitor key performance indicators for helpdesk and department staff.
·         Possess strong customer service skills, problem solving abilities and verbal communication skills
 
Work Conditions & Physical Demands: Office work environment and may lift up to 25 lbs
 
Remote Work – Employees authorized for remote/hybrid work must reside and perform their job duties exclusively within the state of Georgia. Remote/hybrid work arrangements outside the state are not permitted under current policy.
 
Salary Information: $76,218.42 Annually / Pay Grade N
