The Georgia Department of Labor is currently seeking applicants to fill multiple UI Field Tax Financial Auditor positions in various District Tax Manager Offices statewide.

The UI Field Tax Financial Auditor, under broad supervision, completes duties related to employer payroll and financial record examinations, child labor investigations, and employer liability.
Essential Function and Responsibilities:
- Examines employer payroll and financial records to evaluate and enforce Employment Security Law compliance.
- Researches audit leads based upon reports to the GDOL Online fraud and abuse report.
- Reviews employer records to identify employers registering businesses or creating tax reports in order to fraudulently distribute and/or obtain UI benefits.
- Conducts hazardous and regular Child Labor investigations to enforce Child Labor Law compliance.
- Provides guidance and education for employers regarding UI tax liability, proper work classification and tax reporting/payment requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of experience at the lower level UI Tax Field Agent II (FIP031) and two years of experience meeting and exceeding annual audit completion requirements
- Two years of meeting and exceeding performance expectations in all job responsibilities and common core areas
- Eight years of extensive experience in auditing and/or accounting

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a closely related field from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of professional job-related experience; or five (5) years of professional job-related experience; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Auditor/Examiner 2 (FIP031) or position equivalent.Equal Employment Opportunity Employer
