The Georgia Department of Labor is currently seeking applications to fill the UI Program Associate 1 positions in the UI Appeals Department.
The positions are located at 148 Andrew Young International Blvd. NE, Atlanta, Georgia, 30303.

The UI Program Associate 1 performs a variety of administrative support functions related to the hearing and the disposition of contested U.I. cases adjudicated by the Tribunal.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with the processing of appeal requests.
- Processes and responds to postponement requests.
- Advises parties of hearing delays, postponements and continuances.
- Reviews, processes and handles incoming and outgoing mail.
- Assists with the creation of hearing files and ensures all files and appeal records are up to date with accurate information.
- Adds information/documentation to hearing files.
- Ensures Tribunal records are updated with proper notes and entries.
- Ensures the Tribunal and Administrative Hearing Officers are up to date on the status of assigned cases and hearing files.
- Responds to telephone calls and customers inquires.
- Data entry/maintenance.
SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Must be well organized
- Possess excellent computer and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree in business, business communications, paralegal studies or liberal arts from an accredited college or university.
